MCC Hamid Olimjon is one of the most densely populated areas of Turakurgan district, where the majority of population is youth. Being industrious, like the rest of Uzbek nation, the mahalla population cultivates prolific gardens, grows melons and gourds, cotton, grapes, vegetables, and keeps bee-farms. A new project for using alternative energy sources has recently been launched in "Bog kucha" mahalla of Uchkurgan district in support of the EU/UNDP "Enhancement of living standards in Fergana Valley” Programme. In the special boarding school No.46 repair of showers was carried out that were as old as the school itself; built back in 1958 and nowadays under the influence of time, moisture and water badly decayed.
