New business project on furniture production launched in "Gulistan" mahalla of Marhamat district in Andijan region on March 25, 2011, aims at achieving such good intentions. The initiative group headed by Kurbanova Namuna, understanding that the poor quality of this type of work can lose interest of consumers to the company products, approached this business having enough knowledge and skills.

 

Possessing leadership skills by nature helped Namuna unite the interests of “Gulistan” craftsmen. Successfully passing trainings organized within the framework of EU/UNDP project "Enhancement of Living Standards in Fergana Valley", the initiative group had formulated and advocated a business idea for furniture production. The name to the newly established co-op “Ravshanbek” was given in honor of their mentor and teacher on the furniture manufacture. ELS project has provided technological equipment as support to the given enterprise for about 19 mln. soums. Additionally, 7 new job places were created as an opportunity for community members. 

 

Special thanks for taking the initiative and launching a project in the "Year of a small business and entrepreneurship" was expressed by representatives from Marhamat district Khokimiyat.
