One of the priority directions of socio-economic reforms implemented in regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan is strengthening the capacity of local authorities in local development planning and effective regional management. Most importantly, the use of modern ICT methods and tools in the process of planning and implementing state programs for regional socio-economic development is becoming an important part of this process.

In this regard, during 25-27 of November, “Enhancement of Living Standards in Fergana Valley” Programme has organized “Use of DevInfo software in the MDG monitoring and local development planning” training for personnel of informational-analytical groups and regional departments of Ministry of Economy in Andijan, Namangan, Fergana and Kashkadarya regions.

DevInfo software package is an advanced database management system designed for tracking the implementation of human development related activities that can facilitate more effective and comprehensive analysis, presentation and dissemination of statistical data.

Strengthening the capacity of representatives from local authorities in local development planning and effective implementation of state programs for regional socio-economic development is one of the important directions of “Enhancement of Living Standards in Fergana Valley” Programme jointly implemented by the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan, European Commission and UNDP.
