The Enhancement of Living Standards programme shares the vision of how it contributes to achieving the overall programme goal by creating awareness among general public, partners, and target communities about local participatory development planning, self help interventions for improved access to basic resources and income generation and how the ELS project can support these processes.
The visibility materials developed by the ELS teams are independent publications commissioned by the programme. They are the result of a collaborative effort by the projects teams in regions, consultants, advisers and authors coordinated by the ELS programme. The publications share the main idea and vision of the ELS programme, its tasks and objectives, the specific activities carried out throughout initiatives, and most importantly, the lessons and experiences gained that are of relevance nationally and regionally.
The ELS programme thanks the men, women and children from Karakalpakstan, Namangan, Fergana and Andijan regions who are portrayed in our publications. Also we are grateful to our partners, donors, national and local authorities for their invaluable support, advice and guidance.
